Ty and His First Kite

A few weeks back we invested a few spare coins in getting Ty his very first kite.

Okay so it was really for Chris, he loves kites but Ty has been privileged enough to get a chance to enjoy the kite also. Here he is perfecting his kite flying skills with dadda's help.

Walk Fé Walk

My baby Fé is finally walking. Look at her go.

Happy Mothers Day

This mothers day I got a chance to sit down for a few moments and reflect on a few highlights that I enjoy about being a mother. Here are a few.

I love how being a mother as brought me amazingly closer to God. I knew that I needed Jesus and His strength before but now I truly understand what that means. I depend on Him more daily then I ever have before.

I have a new respect for my mother and all she must have endured raising me and my brothers.

I have a better sense of value and appreciation of time and boundaries. Ty and Fè have both grown like weeds and I can't imagine missing any of it. I am more determined not to allow anything to come in between my time and commitment to them.

I also am learning just how important it is for them that Chris and I take some private time alone to reconnect with each other. With God as our glue our marriage is the core of the family and we must nurture is as much as possible. I truly enjoy our date nights together.

I really enjoy watching how quickly and just how much these little sponges are learning each day. I can honestly say I don't think I was as smart as they are at this age. They are so observant and apply what they learn in the most amazing ways.

I love watching the bonds and friendships they are making. Praying they learn early the value of good friends and how to support and protect each other.

And I love knowing that they are growing in a home and church that is flooded in God's everlasting presence and love.

A Brother and Sister's Love

I have to say that we have some awesome kids! Yes, they are 2 years old and 9 months old, but they are just amazing! There are countless times when they would do something that would cause me and Phil to look at each other and say, did you teach them that?

Do they upset us at times? Yes, what kid doesn't upset their parents here and there? But there would be times where we have to hold back our smile and laughter while disciplining because they would just melt our hearts with a look or action of just pure innocence.

Their love for each other also is just so amazing. I watched Fe this weekend just follow Ty everywhere. Since she has become more mobile and more independent, she knows now that she can follow her big brother pretty much all through the house. I was shocked when they both went crawling, Ty loves doing that. I think it's his way of playing with her. Anyways, they go crawling into Ty's room, the next thing I hear is the doors closing and just noise. I immediately jumped up and ran into the room. There they sat, in front of Ty's toys chest just taking out toys and with this look of, yes daddy, everything ok? Then Fe flashes this big smile. I just smiled back, told Ty, play gently. Then I closed the doors and sat back down. When they were done, they came out.

*Sigh* That's our kids for you. Every time we look back at their baby pictures, we are just in disbelief that these were those tiny little things 2 years and 9 months ago.

Love Our Life Group

Chris and I are blessed to be a part of an amazing life group. We meet usually every other week to join in a marriage lesson designed by my senior pastor. It is such an amazing lesson that we have gone through it once already and decided to start over again. What I love about the group, second to the food (amazing pot luck every time) is the fellowship and growth we gain from each other. I think we learn more about marriage, communication and our relationships from hear each others experiences then we do from the lesson itself.

Well around the holiday's we try to do something different with the group, something fun and memorable. Last year we went to a famous Christmas Lights Trail. This year we enjoyed a bonfire and hayride. Loved it all.

Bling Bling ... Ouch!!!

I tried for so long to resist posting this video but I feel this moment is just to precious not to share with my friends and family.

Sorry Chris ... Fé will still love you.

And the finished product: beauty!!!

New Home and Harvest

From the title you can see this post is going to be filled with a lot of fun updates.

First off, we have finally and officially moved into a new home. All boxes have been unpacked and the rooms are all situated. We have all made ourselves very much at home. Here are a few picks of the home. Missing some picks of the awesome space downstairs in the basement at least you get a good idea of where we are now.

We also got to share some good family time over the harvest weekend. We visited a local farm for some pumpkin patch picking and other farm fun activities. Ty had a blast with the baby goats (kids) and the pumpkin train ride.

And then we all had the opportunity to attend the annual Harvest Festival together as a family. Ty loved being Buzz Lightyear so much he is still asking to wear the costume.
